Delete Your Account

Last updated 4 August 2026 · Applies to the Shree Navkar Parivar mobile application, formerly called Navkar Group (iOS and Android).

You can delete your Shree Navkar Parivar account yourself, from inside the app, at any time. You do not need to ask an administrator and you do not need to give a reason.

1. Delete it from the app

Open the Shree Navkar Parivar app and sign in.
Go to Profile (your photo, top right of the home screen).
Open the Profile tab and scroll to the bottom.
Tap Delete my account, below Sign Out.
Read what will be removed, tap Continue, then confirm with Delete forever.

Your account is deleted immediately. You are signed out on that device, and any other device you were signed in on stops working straight away.

2. Or write to us

If you can no longer sign in — you have lost the mobile number your account uses, for instance — email us from any address at shreenavkarparivar.com@gmail.com with your name and the mobile number on the account. We will verify that the account is yours and delete it within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

Your profile — name, mobile number, email, WhatsApp number, city, area, date of birth, gender, profession, biography, photograph, language, member category, shakha, gotra, membership date and anniversary.
Your family records — every family member you added, with their names, relationships and dates of birth.
Your emergency contact and your social handles.
Your sewa preferences and your dharmik accomplishments.
Your event RSVPs and check-ins.
Your sewa (volunteering) applications.
Any business you listed in the business directory.
Your in-app notifications.
Every sign-in session, on every device.

You disappear from the member directory and the business directory at once.

4. What we keep, and why

Donation records — the trust is legally required to keep an account of the contributions it receives, so the record of a donation survives. It is detached from you: your name and mobile number are removed from it and it can no longer be traced back to your account.
Photographs you uploaded to an event gallery — these stay in the community's gallery, but without your name attached. If you want a photograph itself taken down, ask us before you delete your account, or email us afterwards with enough detail to identify it.

Nothing else is retained. We do not keep a shadow copy of your profile, and deleted accounts are not recoverable — if you want to rejoin later you apply again as a new member, and the samiti approves it as it would any other application.

5. Backups

Our database backups are kept for a short period for disaster recovery. A deleted account may persist in a backup until that backup ages out, after which it is gone. Backups are never used to restore a deleted account.
