Terms of Use
Last updated 30 July 2026 · Applies to the Shree Navkar Parivar mobile application, formerly called Navkar Group (iOS and Android), and this website.
The Shree Navkar Parivar app is run by Shree Navkar Parivar, a religious and charitable trust in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India (Reg. No. 1273), for the members of the parivar. By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who may use the app
The app is for members of the Jain community connected to Shree Navkar Parivar. Membership is by application and is reviewed by the samiti; approval is at the samiti's discretion, and it may decline or revoke membership without being obliged to give reasons.
You may browse parts of the app as a guest without an account. Guests can see events, drives, the directory listings, businesses, the gallery and the tithi calendar, but cannot RSVP, donate, apply for sewa, upload photographs or hold a profile.
You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
2. Your account
You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password sent by SMS. You are responsible for keeping access to that number secure, and for everything done through your account. Tell us at once if you believe someone else is using it.
The information you give must be true and about you. Do not create an account for anyone else or impersonate another member.
3. How to behave here
This is a community space. When you use the app you agree not to:
- Use the member directory for marketing, solicitation, political campaigning or any commercial purpose that is not the business directory.
- Copy, export, scrape or pass on members' contact details to anyone outside the parivar.
- Post anything unlawful, obscene, hateful, defamatory, or disrespectful of any faith or community.
- Upload a photograph in which an identifiable person has not agreed to appear.
- Post content you do not have the right to post.
- Misrepresent a business, its offering or a member discount.
- Interfere with the app, attempt to gain access you have not been given, or disrupt it for others.
The samiti may remove content and suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
4. Content you post
Photographs, captions, business listings and profile details remain yours. By posting them you give the trust permission to display them inside the app to members, and to use event photographs in the parivar's own community materials. You can withdraw this by deleting the content or asking us to.
Photographs uploaded to an event gallery appear only after an administrator approves them. The samiti is not obliged to publish anything.
5. Donations
Donations are voluntary contributions to the trust's charitable drives, collected in the app through Razorpay, an Indian payment gateway.
- Donating unlocks no feature, content or privilege. Every part of the app is open to every approved member whether or not they ever give.
- A donation is applied to the drive you chose. If a drive is completed or closed, the samiti may apply remaining funds to a comparable purpose of the trust.
- Donations are generally not refundable. If you believe a payment was made in error or charged twice, contact us within 7 days and the samiti will consider it in good faith.
- Your payment is processed by Razorpay under their own terms. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- Whether a donation attracts any tax benefit depends on the trust's registrations and your own circumstances. Nothing in the app is tax advice.
6. Events, sewa and the tithi calendar
Event details, sewa opportunities and tithi dates are published in good faith and may change. An RSVP is an indication of intent, not a booking or a guarantee of a place. Attending an event or volunteering for sewa is at your own risk, and the trust is not responsible for loss or injury arising from it beyond what the law requires.
Tithi dates are provided for the parivar's convenience. For a religious observance, please rely on the guidance of your guru or the samiti.
7. The business directory
Listings are submitted by members and approved by the samiti before appearing. A listing is not an endorsement. Any dealing between you and a listed business — including any member discount — is between the two of you. The trust is not a party to it and is not responsible for the goods, services, quality, pricing or conduct involved.
8. Availability
The app is provided free of charge, as it is. We give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and may stop offering it altogether, without being liable to you.
9. Liability
To the extent Indian law permits, the trust, its trustees, the samiti and its volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, for content posted by other members, or for dealings with businesses listed in the directory. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Ending your use
You may stop using the app and ask us to close your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). The samiti may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where membership of the parivar ends. Sections 4, 5, 9 and 11 survive.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and anything significant will be notified in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
